RusAg organized remote lending to Omsk farmers

In the face of restrictions caused by the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the Omsk regional branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank (Omsky Biocluster member) continues to systematically provide loans to farmers in the region. RusAg has successfully implemented a set of measures to organize remote work to review applications and make decisions on granting loans to customers. The bank holds online meetings on the topics of the sowing campaign and the issuance of loans.

Thus, since the introduction of restrictive measures, Omsk Branch RusAg has considered 50 loan applications from entrepreneurs. As a result, 38 loans were issued for a total amount of about RUR 500,000,000 ($ 6,900,000). These measures made it possible to increase the loan portfolio of the Omsk Branch RusAg in the SMEs segment by RUR 905,000,000 ($ 12,490,000) and enter the top five branches that ensured the largest increase in the portfolios of SMEs of the Russian Agricultural Bank in the country.

"At this difficult time, it is important to know that there is a reliable partner nearby who is ready to provide financial assistance. It is nice to see that the bank was able to overcome all current challenges and continued to provide farmers with borrowed funds as soon as possible. We thank the Omsk branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank for their work and the assistance support for seasonal field work," said farmer Alexander Govin.

"When the business processes that we are accustomed to are inaccessible, we were able to quickly reorganize the work and ensure the continuity of our activities. All departments involved in the lending processes carry out their activities in full. A clear illustration of the effectiveness of the measures chosen by us was the growth of the loan portfolio of SMEs. At the beginning of May 2020, this figure reached RUR 4.2 billion ($ 57,980,000)," said Lev Yaneev, director of the Omsk Branch RusAg
