Omsky Biocluster will participate in the formation of the FoodNet market

Razumovsky's Moscow State University of Technologies and Management - First Cossack University (Omsky Biocluster member) plans to create a network of modern scientific and technical laboratories in the food and processing industry together with the Research Institute of Starch Products, ZAVKOM ENGINEERING Company and Titan Group (a subsidiary of the Group - Titan-Agro LLC - is the Omsky Biocluster member).

The creation of a technological base for the development of the domestic food and processing industries, as well as the prospects for developing a digital platform and product design methodology and personalized diets for the FoodNet market, National Technological Initiative were discussed at the State Duma on June 20 at the meeting of the Association of Scientific, Educational Institutions and Enterprises Food and Processing Industry 'VUZ-NII-Novotech'.

The head of the Omsk branch of the Razumovsky's Moscow State University of Technologies and Management - First Cossack University, Oleg Mamaev, said that University was actively involved in solving the problems of forming the foundations of the technological breakthrough of the national economy in the food and processing industry:

"Now the Russian agroindustry is actively developing and requires the creation of a serious domestic technological base for the development of the food and processing industry, this is in line with the instructions of the President of Russia to increase the non-primary sector in the Russian economy, including as part of the national project to export high-margin agro-industry products. An interesting cooperation chain StartUpAcademia - R & D - Commercialization is being formed in Omsky Biocluster with the participation of Omsky Biocluster members and our partners, which will include both R & D competences and experience of leading engineering and manufacturing companies. We look forward to the launch of a pilot project at Omsk this year already.

Interest in this segment is also shown by foreign companies. Recall that Dmitry Romanenko, Omsky Biocluster CEO, within the April BIAT Forum 2019, organized by the Department for the Development of Trade Exchange of the Italian Embassy (ICE Italy), together with the Association of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia, held meetings with innovative Italian companies in the development of the personalized nutrition market (Food Net technology). Following the results of the dialogue, the parties are considering the possibility of implementing joint Russian-Italian projects.
