Russian sugar exports grew more than six times

In the current season (from August 1, 2019), according to the Center of Agroanalytics of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Russia has already exported almost 1.32 million sugar (as of July 5), which is 6.3 times higher than the result of the same period of the previous period . "Most of the exports in the 2019/20 season are white sugar, whose shipments as of July 5 amounted to 1.185 million tons, or 89.8% of the total supply," the report says.

 

Basically, in 2019/20 MY, Russian sugar was shipped to Uzbekistan (251,500 tons), Kazakhstan (235,300 tons), Azerbaijan (174,600 tons) and Tajikistan (136,800 tons), which together account for 798,200 tons, or 67 , 4% of total exports of Russian white sugar. The largest deliveries of raw sugar were made to Uzbekistan (97,400 tons) and Kazakhstan (24,000 tons), their total share amounted to 89.9% (121,400 tons) of the total shipped volume as of July 5, which is 135,000 tons.
