On August 14, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences held a meeting on the implementation of the project to create basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Higher school in the region was represented by leading universities: Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsky Biocluster member), Omsk State University, Omsk State Technical University, Siberian State Automobile and Highway University, Omsk State Pedagogical University.
Three Omsk schools (city gymnasiums No. 19, No. 115 and lyceum No. 64) will become the basic educational organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Valery Karpov, Chairman of the Omsk Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch (Omsky Biocluster member), noted that the region lacks talented young researchers, therefore he has hopes for graduates of basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the region who will surely join the ranks of researchers not only in the Omsk Region, but also in the Russian Federation.
Representatives of the basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported at the meeting about the work carried out in the summer and plans for the academic year, shared their expectations from the project.
