The question of which feed is better - home or purchased, is relevant for many poultry farmers. Some people think that homemade mixes are quite capable of providing the poultry with all the necessary nutrients, but is this true? Agro-industrial portal AGRO XXI decided to get answers from experts.
Usually, poultry farmers consider the cost of domestic feed its advantage. But, by reducing the costs of introducing certain ingredients, the poultry farmer risks obtaining, albeit a cheaper, but less nutritious product. Modern formulations are significantly different from the simple feed mix in Soviet times. This is largely due to the fact that getting a sick or unproductive livestock is completely unprofitable even in a small farm, not to mention large farms.
