The Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Products of Animal and Plant Origin, Feed and Environmental Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) for 2018 received 3,941 samples, with which 35,760 studies were conducted. As a result, experts identified 216 samples of non-compliant regulatory documentation.
75 samples of cereals, leguminous, oilseeds and their products did not meet the standards for organoleptic indicators (odor, color), quality indicators (moisture, oil and grain impurities, nature, pest infestation, gluten mass fraction, good-quality grain, core content, flour) , acid number and safety (weed impurity, cadmium content, ochratoxin A). Non-compliances with regulatory documents were found in one sample of wheat fodder (smell), one sample of hay (fiber and protein concentration) and one haylage sample (fiber and protein concentration, dry matter mass fraction).
Three samples of vegetable oils did not correspond to the fatty acid composition and the mass fraction of non-fatty impurities. Violations of the content of moisture, protein, fat, fatty acid composition, the presence of sterols and preservatives were found in 100 samples of milk and dairy products.
Two samples of natural honey had an underestimated diastatic number, one sample one had an excess of the mass fraction of sucrose. Two samples of table salt revealed a low content of sodium chloride. Two more samples of salt did not meet the regulatory documentation for the ionic composition.
Laboratory specialists found excess samples in soil samples for the following indicators: nitrate content in 13 samples, oil content in five samples, benzo (a) pyrene in two samples. Low mass fractions of organic and dry substances were found in the sample of organic fertilizers. A sample of herbicides contained a small amount of active ingredient.
