February 13, the Eurasian Economic Commission approved a draft document determining the maximum permissible level of residues of veterinary medicinal products that may be contained in unprocessed food products of animal origin and methods for their determination.
The document will come into force 30 days after publication. The list of veterinary medicinal products includes drugs, which may require a more expensive method, experts say. According to the text of the decision, the manufacturer will have to provide confirmation of the removal of the drug from the body of the animal, instructions for this currently do not exist.
