The level of falsification of dairy products in Russia exceeded 19%

The level of falsification of products in the Russian dairy market in 2017 was 19.4%, follows from the materials of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor). The subject of attention was products that did not meet the quality composition claimed by the manufacturers.

 

In 2017, Rosselkhoznadzor examined samples from 12,878 batches of milk and dairy products. Of these, 2,493 batches (19.4%) did not comply with the declared composition. Moscow region is the leader among the regions where falsified products are produced most of all (the proportion of falsified parties from the number of audited ones was 52.5% or 457 parties out of 870). This indicator in the Samara region was 40.9% (147 out of 359), in the Bryansk region - 39.4% (100 out of 254), in Moscow - 39.3% (107 of 272). This list also includes Kabardino-Balkaria, Stavropol and Altai Territories, Kursk, Ivanovo and Ulyanovsk regions.
