13% of the seeds did not pass the seed quality test

The laboratory of seed and planting material and district laboratories of the Seed and Plant Protection Department of the Omsk Reference Center (member of Omsky Biocluster) are inspecting the seeds of cereals and leguminous crops intended for sowing in the spring of 2018 for sowing qualities.

 

In the middle of March, 2018, the department laboratory checked 108.1 thousand tons of seeds, of which 94 thousand tons (87%) comply with the requirements of state standards. The remaining 14.1 thousand tons of seeds (13%) were not tested, including 13% for weediness, 1% for germination. The farms are actively working to improve the seeds and bring them to the standards.
