Since the beginning of the year, the Department of Seed Production and Plant Protection of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) received more than 134,000 tons of grain from the Omsk region to check for germination and contamination. Of these, experts had time to check more than 131,000 tons.
More than 130,000 tons of seeds were recognized as conditional, which means ready for planting. For analysis, the laboratory received seeds of wheat, barley, oats, peas, chickpeas, lentils, rapeseed, mustard, sweet clover, buckwheat, soybean, clover, rump, flax and sunflower. 1455 tons of grain were identified by seed growers as substandard (the presence of impurities). High levels of humidity were found in 50 tons of grain from those received for inspection from Omsk farmers.
