Infected chrysanthemums found in Omsk

The quarantine pest was discovered by the specialists of the Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (memder of Omsky Biocluster) in the Miks Chrysanthemum batch, grown in Russia.

 

Experts during the analysis identified a quarantine pest - western (Californian) flower thrips. This insect of a closed ground is dangerous to an equal degree both for floral and ornamental plants, and for vegetable crops. Information on the results of the expert examinations of this sample by specialists of the Omsk Reference Center was sent to the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for Omsk region.
