At the insistence of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian government will allocate an additional RUR 3.5 billion ($ 54.82 million) for a program to support the demand for agricultural machinery in 2019. The program budget will now reach the 'crisis level' of 2016 (RUR 14.5 billion, $ 227.1 million).
But the funds will still not be enough to subsidize all sales: manufacturers have already shipped the farmers with discounts of equipment for another RUR 2.9 billion ($ 45.42 million). Now the shipment of equipment at a discount will be suspended due to lack of funding. Moreover, next year it will not be possible to compensate for the discount provided this year from the budget, and manufacturers will have significant losses.
