The decision to subsidize the expenses of the Russian Railways (RZD) for the transportation of grain in the amount of 3 billion rubles, prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, came into force, said the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dzhambulat Khatuov on Wednesday.
The discount applies to transportation of wheat, rye, oats, barley, corn, rice, buckwheat, beans, peas and other cereals. The lowering coefficient will be in force until June 30, 2018. Director of Russian Railways for commercial activities Alexey Shilo previously reported to TASS that, in aggregate, these measures will increase transportation to 2.7 million tons.
