OmSAU hosted the International Panel Conference

February 21, Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) held the International Panel Conference 'Scientific Innovations for Agricultural Production', dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the University. More than 100 scientists from the cities of Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan came to OmSAU. Participants not only discussed current issues of agrarian science, but also congratulated their native University, which gave a start for professional activity.

 

The event was held at the Scientific Agricultural Library, which also became a place for the exhibition of scientific works, publications and achievements of the three departments of the agro-technological faculty: agronomy, breeding and seed production; gardening, forestry and plant protection; food products and technology.

 

After the end of the plenary part, the conference participants tasted the products of the university's long-standing partners - the companies Sladonezh (member of Omsky Biocluster) and Sibkhleb. It is worth noting that students of the agricultural technology department regularly undergo training at these enterprises.

 

In the second half of the day, the conference continued its work in sections: agriculture, crop production and fodder production; selection and seed farming of agricultural plants; fruit growing, vegetable growing and ornamental horticulture; forestry and plant protection; metabolic basis of a healthy diet; state and prospects for the development of food biotechnology.
