Russian Agricultural Bank and REC will help agro exports

Boris Listov, Chairman of the Board of RusAg JSC (Omsk Branch is the Omsky Biocluster member), and Andrey Slepnev, Director General of the Russian Export Center JSC, have entered into an agreement on cooperation within the framework of acceleration programs for manufacturers of the Russian agro-industry. The signing ceremony took place at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. The agreement establishes the parties' intentions to develop and implement joint projects for Russian agricultural exporters in fulfillment of the tasks set by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 07.05.2018 No. 204 "On the national goals and strategic objectives of the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024".

The acceleration program includes the preparation of export-oriented enterprises to enter foreign markets on the basis of an individual growth plan using a set of measures, including consulting, training, assistance in finding a market and customers, and maintenance before the conclusion of an export contract. The uniqueness of the export accelerator of agricultural projects consists in a combination of expertise of RusAg and REC specialists.

"Farmers need not only funds, but also a competent partner who will provide them with step-by-step navigation in the field of foreign economic activity. Today RusAg and REC agreed to work together to introduce a business accelerator in the agricultural sphere. We will create a kind of laboratory, where each farmer, depending on the specifics and scale of his business, will be offered a clear algorithm for accessing international markets. Perspective projects will be able to qualify for a long-term partnership with the RusAg," noted Boris Listov, Chairman of the Board of RusAg.

"From the point of view of export success, the agricultural sector is one of the best - $ 25.7 billion in 2018. The methodology of export acceleration developed by the Russian Export Center will allow in partnership with RusAg to expand the number of exporting companies in the agro-industrial sector, to make our support tools more accessible, and access to foreign markets is easier and more comfortable. It is very important that the share of companies whose products have a high degree of processing increase," said Andrei Slepnev, Director General of the Russian Export Center.

At the end of 2018, the volume of foreign economic activity serviced by the Bank increased by 22% and exceeded $ 7.3 billion, over 6.8 thousand companies chose RusAg as a business partner. As of January 1, 2019, the RusAg credit portfolio for exporting customers amounted to 473 billion RUR ($ 7.22 billion), of which 128 billion RUR ($ 1.95 billion) - in the field of agriculture.
