The Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) during the analysis of samples identified a quarantine pest - western (California) flower thrips.
Quarantine pest was discovered by experts when conducting research on a batch of potted flowers of cyclomenes, of Russian origin. Information about the results of the examination of these samples by the specialists of the Omsk Reference Center were sent to the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsk Branch).
