Production of pigs in Russia since the beginning of the year increased by 11.7%

According to the results of January-February 2018, the production of pigs for slaughter in live weight in agricultural organizations of Russia increased by 11.7% compared to the same period a year earlier and amounted to 618.8 thousand tons (by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia).

 

The main increase in production was provided by Voronezh, Pskov, Kursk, Tomsk and Tver regions. At the same time, there was a decline in production in the Perm Territory, Chelyabinsk, Lipetsk and Yaroslavl regions, as well as in the Republic of Udmurtia.
