OmSAU begins collaboration with Estonia

The Omsk State Agrarian University’s International Relations Department (Omsky Biocluster member) informs about receiving grant support from the European Commission as a result of a joint application with the Estonian University of Life Sciences for student and teaching mobility under the Erasmus + Program.

 

OmSAU students (agricultural industry and veterinary medicine profile) will be able to study in Estonia. In turn, the Omsk State Agrarian University will be able to accept teachers from the Estonian University of Life Sciences in such fields as agricultural industry, veterinary medicine and forestry. The qualifying round for the spring semester of 2020 will be held in November-December 2019.

 

Estonian University of Life Sciences, located in Tartu, was founded in 1951 and is one of the most cited research centers in the world, as well as one of the top 100 best universities in the field of agriculture (51/100 according to QS World University Rankings). It is the only university in Estonia whose academic and research priorities ensure the sustainable development of natural resources necessary for human existence, preservation of cultural heritage and natural habitat. The University is a center for research and development in such fields as veterinary medicine and livestock, agriculture and ecology, forestry, economics, technology and social sciences.
