For 9 months of 2018, poultry production for slaughter in live weight in all categories of Russian agro companies increased by 1.3% (+62.83K tons) and amounted to 4,867.5K tons. Egg production amounted to 34.33B pieces, which is 0.8% or 282M pieces more than the total of nine months of 2017, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The increase in poultry production in January-September 2018 was provided by manufacturers of Tambov, Rostov and Penza regions, the Republics of Crimea and Mordovia. In terms of egg production, agricultural producers of Yaroslavl, Astrakhan, Ryazan, Voronezh regions and the Republic of Tatarstan should be noted among the leaders.
