The quality of dairy products has also increased over the past few years, while the share of products that do not meet quality standards has decreased to 0.3% in 2018 from 1.6% in 2014. The Chinese government has taken a number of measures to ensure the quality of dairy products, including improving legislation and standards in this sector with tighter oversight. Spot checks are carried out monthly, and the results of the checks are also made once a month. In total, 762 manufacturers of dairy products are registered in China.
