In October 2019, Russia exported about 99,000 tons of oilseed flax, which is two times higher than the September figure and is the maximum monthly volume since November 2016.
In particular, October showed a threefold increase in flax shipments to Belgium, amounting to more than 44,000 tons. Flax export to China (35,000 tons) almost doubled, and Mongolia (7,000 tons) quadrupled. In total, the three main importers of Russian flax in October accounted for 87% of total exports.
