Fuel prices during the spring field work should be fixed at today's level, so that suppliers will not be tempted to pick them up at the height of the sowing campaign. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation made such an offer to the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
"The issue of pricing for fuels and lubricants is not simple, this is due to the growth in the price of oil, which affects the wholesale and retail prices," said Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev. "We applied to the Ministry of Energy with a proposal to fix prices for fuel and lubricants for the period of spring field work and constantly monitor this situation," he said.
According to Tkachev, gasoline prices increased by 7% last year, summer diesel fuel went up by 18%, winter prices by 14%. "We expect that fuel prices will stabilize and not create serious difficulties during the sowing season," Minister said.
