Implementation of the pilot project 'Creating an Experimental-Technological Platform of Precision Farming' has been launched in Kazakhstan. So, the experimental landfill is organized on an area of 3 thousand hectares in Akmola region.
"We have created a project management center, which carried out the maintenance of the fields register; interaction with smart technology; documentation of the production process (agroblocks); agroscouting on the results of agrochemical field surveys; satellite and meteorological monitoring of crops," said the director general of the Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming (Baraev's Center) Kenzhe Abdullaev.
It is noted that the average yield of spring wheat in the fields of the landfill of precision farming was 25.9 centners per hectare, and in fields with traditional cultivation technology it was 22.7 centners per hectare with an average yield of 13.5 centners per hectare. Thus, the introduction of the basic elements of the precision farming system at the test site in 2018 made it possible to ensure profitability at the level of 33.5% and to get a profit per hectare over 43,000 tenge ($ 113.71).
