Pushkinsky Feed Mill Titan-Agro LLC (member of Omsky Biocluster) was visited by the students (Zootechny Direction) of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster). The future specialists visited the subdivisions of the modern agro-industrial enterprise and saw all the stages of feed production - from the input control of raw materials to the receipt of the finished product to the warehouse.
The excursion was conducted by the production head Oleg Soboslai and the leading expert on feeding farm animals Igor Makarov. They told the students that the processing of grain into a balanced feed passes in more than 10 stages, including raw material loading, dosing, grinding and mixing, granulation, distribution and shipment of finished products. In addition, the entire production process is under constant laboratory control. The enterprise uses modern equipment, which provides practically waste-free production.
"The plant can produce mixed fodders in the form of placers, grains or pellets, the sizes of which will be optimal for certain animals or birds," Oleg Soboslai noted during the excursion. "The production lines of Pushkinsky Feed Mill have serious opportunities: they allow producing dozens of recipes mixed fodder, including those responsible, such as starter and premature feed, that give newborn animals in the first days of life."
Interest in students and teachers of OmSAU was caused by the certified production and technological laboratory of the feed mill. The division has more than 100 units of analytical, measuring and testing equipment, including high-tech - atomic absorption spectrometer, multifunction infrared analyzers, liquid and gas chromatography, ELISA analyzer and others. The laboratory is regularly replenished with new devices: one of the latest innovations is an infrared analyzer of domestic production. The time for determining certain indicators on this equipment does not exceed one minute.
"The knowledge and understanding of the processes of production of mixed fodders, the implementation of quality control at all stages of production is an essential contribution to the professional activity of the future animal engineer. Ensuring full-fledged feeding of animals and birds is the essence of his work, that's why specialists should know the specifics of the production of mixed fodders, - said Elena Chaunina, head of the department of zootechny of OmSAU. "We were lucky to see one of the most technically equipped enterprises of this profile. Plant equipment, production conditions - we have extremely positive impressions."
After the excursion the students were invited to work in Titan. About twelve excursions take place at the sites of Titan Group per year. So, last year students of Omsk State Agrarian University, Omsk State Technical University, Omsk State Pedagogical University, Siberian Cossack University of Technologies and Management (member of Omsky Biocluster), Omsk Industrial and Economic College visited the sites of Titan and Polyom Ltd. (a joint venture of Titan, SIBUR and Gazprom Neft), and other educational institutions. We will add that today the products of Pushkinsky Feed Mill are being realized both in Omsk region and outside it (Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk and other regions).
