The Governor of the Omsk region, Alexander Burkov, at a hardware meeting of the regional cabinet on March 20, demanded a detailed analysis of the load and price policy of Omsk granaries. The Regional Ministry of Agriculture should report the monitoring results to the head of the region in a week.
"Give an analysis on the results of the granaries work over the past year: what is the degree of loading, prices. I hear from farmers that they were 'strangled', both in price and in terms. They suffered with wet grain, did not know where to go with it. I need a detailed analysis of the behavior of granaries owners and managers," Alexander Burkov instructed.
Omsk farmers will sow more than 3,000,000 hectares, which is almost 25,000 hectares more than last year’s level, including 2,000,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops, 317,000 hectares of oilseeds.
