From 14 to 17 April, the next International Forum 'Borlaug Global Rust Initiative' on the problem of wheat resistance to disease took place in the city of Marrakech (Morocco).
The organizers are the American Fund 'Borlaug Global Rust Initiative' (winner of the Nobel Prize for success in the Green Revolution) together with the ICARDA International Research Center. Omsk State Agrarian University's (member of Omsky Biocluster) Professor Vladimir Shamanin made a presentation at the committee on the resistance of wheat to rust. The report was prepared based on the results of a collective international study of the threat of aggressive sorts of the wheat rust from Western Siberia and Northern Kazakhstan to Europe, India and China.
