July 20, the 27th regional contest for the title of the best profession among operators for artificial insemination was held in Tomsk region. Belostok Farm (Pudovka village, Krivosheinsky district) was the venue for the event. Belostok Farm is the only breeding plant behind the Urals for the breeding of dairy cattle of the Ayrshire cows.
The contest was attended by 17 specialists from nine districts of the Tomsk region, including eleven agricultural companies and four district veterinary departments. For the first time professionals from the northern most territory of Tomsk region, the city of Strezhevoy, took part in the professional competition (farmer Boychenko, as well as Berezovskaya Ferma, specializing in artificial insemination of beef cattle). Specialists of SIBAGROCOMPLEX Group (member of Omsky Biocluster) were included as experts in the jury of three of the four stages of the competition.
Earlier, within the Interregional Center for Agro Industry Engineering, preliminary studies were held on the program of the contest with future participants and their leaders. The lessons gave a positive effect - the contestants demonstrated a sufficiently high level of theoretical training and practical knowledge of the practical skills of working in the laboratory and directly with animals.
According to the sum of the results of the evaluation, the best in several nominations were determined at four stages of the competition: rectocervical and manocervical insemination, an operator working with the livestock of the villagers, the youngest participant and veteran of the profession. Alexander Melnik (Belostok Farm) like last year, became the absolute winner. He will represent the Novosibirsk region at the All-Russian stage of the contest, which will be held from August 29 to September 1 in Kirov region.
