The program of poultry products export growth is approved

Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev approved the program for the poultry products exports growth. According to the program, the volume of products sent abroad (including finished and canned) by 2020 should be 370 thousand tons, which is more than three times the figure for 2016 (121.4 thousand tons). In monetary terms, the value of exports of poultry meat in 2020 should be 25.4 billion rubles ($ 430.46 million), in 2016 it was equal to 8.7 billion rubles ($ 147.44 million).

The Russian Poultry Association predicts an increase in poultry meat production this year to 4.8 million tonnes. Interest for Russia is represented by the markets of the CIS countries, Asia and the Middle East.

Dry and liquid egg processing products have the greatest export growth opportunities. Enterprises that process chicken eggs are not fully loaded to date, and this should be used to increase the supply of processed products (dried egg white and yolk) to EU countries. The program also plans to export 2,000 tons of egg processing products to the CIS countries by 2020, to 1,500 tons to Japan, and 600,000 tons to China.

The investment project for deep egg processing in egg mélange and dried egg products in Omsk region is being implemented by LyuBim OVO LLC (member of Omsky Biocluster).
