The ASF virus continues to spread actively in China. Already 90 ASF outbreaks was recorded.
China is the world leader in pigs. In order to prevent the spread of the virus in the country, there is a campaign for the slaughter of pigs, which will last until May 2019. Against this background, fraudsters use underground slaughterhouses, where farmers send pigs, pre-pumped them with water or other materials to increase the mass, then to sell the meat.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China sees in such actions an even greater risk of the spread of ASF, so Beijing decided to strengthen the inspection of the slaughter points of pigs and severely punish violators. It is noted that in China it is planned to build several large slaughter points, while small slaughter points will be closed. Thus, the government intends to control this sector.
