Omsk: Immediately two quarantine weeds found in soybean meal

Specialists of the Laboratory of quarantine phytosanitary examinations and surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) have rejected a batch of soybean meal. Herbological examinations have established that the batch of feed for farm animals weighing 1.234 tons from Samaraagroprompererabotka JSC contains the seeds of an ambrosia of a wormwood and a thin stem.

Flowering Ambrosia Wormwood is the strongest allergen: mainly children and older people are sick. Ambrosia Wormwood damages agriculture as well: its seeds can get into the seeds of a cultivated plant. Dodder is a parasitic plant that does not have its roots and leaves. Dodders contribute to the destruction of plants by pests and diseases leading to the death of plants. In addition, they themselves are carriers of many plant viruses and contain substances that cause poisoning of animals when they eat clogged hay.

Information about the results of the examinations of this sample were sent to the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsk Branch).
