Chemists found a carcinogen in the soil

The laboratory of quality and safety of products of animal and vegetable origin, feed and environmental objects of the Omsk Reference Center Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) analyzed two soil samples within the state task. In one of them, the excess of benzapyrene was detected 2.8 times.

 

The main sources of benzapyrene are automobile transport, energy, oil refining and chemical industry. Benzapyrene is the most typical chemical carcinogen of the environment, it is dangerous for humans even at low concentrations.
