The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region summed up the development of the livestock sector in 2017.
As of January 1, 2018, the number of cattle in farms of all categories amounted to 379.4 thousand heads, incl. cows 158.9 thousand heads, pigs - 449.6 thousand heads, sheep and goats - 23.9 thousand heads, poultry - 7603.0 thousand heads.
Indicators of production of livestock products in farms of all categories are the following: cattle and poultry for slaughter (live weight) 238.8 thousand tons, milk - 626.7 thousand tons, egg - 937.0 million.
