Since the introduction of the emergency regime for bird flu in the Omsk region, the number of foci of this disease in the region has increased to seven. Six types of poultry are subject to seizure - from chickens to pigeons. The government of the Omsk region has already approved the amount of compensation that will be paid to the owners after the quarantine is lifted.
So far, quarantine has been introduced for 21 days from the moment the outbreaks were identified, but if one of the local residents hides the facts of the death of poultry or was able to bring young poultry to the quarantine zone, then the terms will be extended. Accordingly, the dates of payments will be postponed, said Nikolai Drofa, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk region.
