Product and feed quality: Results of the first half of October

The Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Animal and Plant Products, Feed and Environmental Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) received 531 samples for the first half of October, with which 4601 studies were conducted. As a result, seven samples were found that did not comply with regulatory documentation.

Three grain samples contained elevated indicators: wheat by moisture, flax and fodder barley by weed impurity. Studies of a sample of butter showed inconsistencies in 10 indicators out of 13: mass fraction of fat, the presence of three phytosterols, the absence of cholesterol, as well as five parameters of the fatty acid composition. In one of the cheese samples, violations of the fatty acid composition were detected, another sample did not meet the standards for the mass fraction of fat and the presence of phytosterol. An increased content of moisture-retaining phosphorus compounds was found in a sample of sausages for frying.
