The Russian government will subsidize the baby food production

From 2019, the Russian government will begin to subsidize the capital costs of producers for the construction of facilities for the production of dry milk products for baby food and components for them, reports DairyNews.

State support measures will be implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade: these are preferential short-term loans for up to one year, preferential investment loans for the construction of facilities for the production of baby food and the purchase of equipment for them, as well as for the construction, reconstruction and modernization of facilities for the production of dry ingredients and mixtures of them.

"It is assumed that the implementation of these measures will maximally ensure the localization of baby food production, including substitutes for breast milk, meet the domestic need of the Russian Federation, as well as create export potential within the framework of the federal project 'Export of Agricultural Products', the Ministry of Agriculture reports.
