As of July-March 2018/19 MY, Russia will ship 36,900,000 tons to foreign markets. This forecast was voiced by the head of the analytical center of Rusagrotrans JSC Igor Pavensky. This figure will significantly exceed the result of the same period of 2016/17 MY, when 28,360,000 tons of grain were supplied to foreign markets, but it will be 3,000,000 tons less than the record level of July-March last season, the expert noted.
At the same time, he clarified that wheat exports in the reporting period are projected at 30,850,000 tons compared to 31,290,000 tons exported in the first nine months of the season earlier. Shipments of corn will be reduced by 18% - to 3,620,000 tons, barley - 2 times, to 1,940,000 tons. "At the same time, given the stocks of grain exported by Russian exporters and the growth of quotations on the SWOT exchange that resumed by the end of last week due to the possible loss of crops and grain losses in the United States due to flooding, it is possible that three months of the current season may increase," Igor Pavensky added.
