RusAg and REC launched a pilot export accelerator

Russian Agricultural Bank JSC (Omsk branch is the Omsky Biocluster member) and the Russian Export Center have launched a joint acceleration program for manufacturers of domestic products of the agro-industry, focused on export. The program provides a set of educational, financial and non-financial measures aimed at developing the export potential of Russian companies and bringing them to foreign markets. Five food producers will take part in the pilot program, for each of which individual road maps will be drawn up for entering foreign markets based on an assessment of export maturity. RusAg client managers will accompany companies all the way through the export cycle.

RusAg became one of the first partners of the Russian Export Center in the programs of export acceleration of Russian agribusiness companies. Agreements on the joint implementation of the acceleration program for Russian agricultural exporters were reached during the investment forum in Sochi in 2019 with the goal of fulfilling the tasks set by the President of the Russian Federation.

"Today, the country's farmers face the task of doubling the export of agricultural products. To achieve this goal, it is necessary that as many new companies as possible enter the international market. The acceleration program, which we launched together with the Russian Export Center, should help agricultural producers to cope with the difficulties of foreign economic activity. I am sure that this is only the first step in the development of our cooperation with the REC," First Deputy Chairman of the RusAg Board, Kirill Levin, said.

"The president was set a goal to achieve exports of agricultural products at $ 45 billion by 2024. Agroindustry is a promising direction in which a good breakthrough has been achieved in recent years. The volume of exports of agricultural products increased from $ 17.8 billion in 2016 to $ 25.8 billion in 2018. The launch of the acceleration program is another step towards the achievement of the presidential goal," Alexey Kozhevnikov, Senior Vice President of the REC Group, said.
