The state will use the mechanism of procurement interventions in the grain market to stabilize prices on it, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Gordeyev said on July 25 during a meeting at the Federation Council - upper house of the parliament of the Russian Federation.
"This is absolutely correct mechanism, and if we talk about the past year, when we had a record harvest, then obviously the state had to make purchases to stabilize prices, have these reserves and continue to manage depending on the situation in subsequent years. We will use this tool," said Alexei Gordeev. According to him, this experience is used by both the USA and Canada as the main manufacturers of grain crops.
