The project of a large wheat processing plant in Serdobsk, Penza region, will be ready by September. It is planned that the building area of the plant will be about 150,000 square meters. This was announced at a meeting of the government of the Penza region, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region Andrei Luzgin.
"The engineering of the plant is completed in September, the investor expects that in September-October the documents will be submitted to the state expertise. We hope that by the end of the year we will proceed to solving other topics on this project," Luzgin said. He noted that the project is very difficult from a technical point of view. "Only the building area occupies more than 150,000 square meters. Currently, in relation to the euro, the amount of investment is about RUR 20-21 billion ($ 0.32 - 0.33 billion)," Luzgin said, adding that about 700 jobs would be created at the plant.
Tekhnokord company is a resident of the territory of advanced socio-economic development established in Serdobsk. The plant for the deep processing of wheat will produce glucose-fructose syrup, gluten, citric acid, high-protein animal feed. According to the governor of the Penza region, Ivan Belozertsev, the plant will be able to solve the problem of processing large amounts of grain in the region.
A trilateral protocol of intent on collaboration between the Government of the Penza region, Tekhnokord company and the largest food manufacturer and supplier in China, COFCO Corporation, was signed in February 2019 at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
