Anatoly Shulakov, head of 'Genetics and Breeding of Cattle Practice' of Omsky Biocluster, paid a business visit to Bogodukhovskoye (Pavlogradsky district), one of the leading breeding enterprises of Omsk region (the red steppe).
Anatoly Shulakov and deputy director of the enterprise Vladimir Kuchegura discussed the main problems and strategy for the development of breeding in Omsk region, in particular the conservation and improvement of the red cattle population. It was decided to establish cooperation within the Effective Livestock Program, which provides for a systematic approach to solving the problem of increasing economic efficiency in the conditions of a specific enterprise.
Experts of SIBAGROCOMPLEX company carried out a comprehensive analysis of the herd's potential with the use of the specialized selection program IMAGE, a genetic profile of the herd was built, the selection of producers was made taking into account the set selection tasks and control of inbreeding. The parties discussed a further work plan with the herd.
