China abolished the ban on the import of grain from Russia

China abolished the ban imposed in 2016 on the supply of wheat from six regions of Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the State Administration for Quality Control, Inspection and Quarantine of China (GAQSIQ).

"Starting on February 26, to allow the import of Russian wheat, which meets the quarantine requirements of China," said in a message posted on the website of the Chinese department. As specified, the ban was canceled for wheat supplies from Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Amur regions, as well as Krasnoyarsk and Altai Territories. "Such diseases as a wet bunt and dwarf wheat in the six regions are not found," explains the reason for the decision.
