Pig production in Tomsk region shows the highest growth rates in the Siberian Federal District. According to monitoring by Tomskstat, the production of pigs for slaughter in live weight in agricultural organizations of the region in January this year amounted to 3.4 thousand tons, which is 23 times more than a year earlier (in January 2017 - only 151.1 tons). In general, Tomsk region in 2017 produced 26.3 thousand tons of pig production, 97% more than in 2016.

 

Tomsk region was included in the top five regions that provided the highest growth in the pig industry. According to the Department of Livestock and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the highest indicators for the production of pig products in January 2018 were achieved in Pskov, Voronezh, Kursk, Tver and Tomsk regions.

We consistently implement the task set by the Governor of Tomsk region Sergei Zhvachkin to improve the efficiency of agricultural production in the region."
