Information and educational portal 'Education in Russia' published a rating of the best universities in Russia. The rating is based on the performance indicators of the university as domestic statistical agencies and foreign experts in the field of education. Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) took 179 place among 695 surveyed universities of the country. There are 23 places among the universities of the Siberian Federal District , agrarian universities - 20, Omsk - at the second.
The rating of universities is an integral assessment of the quality of training graduates of educational institutions, calculated on the basis of objective quantitative indicators of educational, research, international, financial and economic activities of universities. It is conducted with the aim of forming an objective assessment of the possibilities of educational institutions to provide the graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills, their comfortable and most qualitative assimilation, creating conditions for their further application.
Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Maxim Chekusov:
"OmSAU is the basic educational institution for all Siberian farmers - not only in Omsk region, its graduates are in demand in the farms of the Siberian Federal District. Today OmSAU became the basis of the educational infrastructure of Omsky Biocluster. The rating demonstrates an objective assessment of the merits of the rector's office and the faculty of the university."
