Russia will introduce uniform requirements for the use of tractors

The State Duma adopted in the first reading a draft law establishing uniform requirements for the technical condition, admission to operation, state registration and technical inspection of tractors and road-building machines.

Now the requirements for self-propelled vehicles are regulated by regional legislation, but there is no single document at the federal level. It is proposed that the Government of the Russian Federation be empowered to approve the list of requirements for the technical condition and operation of self-propelled vehicles, the rules for admission to driving them, including the procedure for conducting exams, technical control, issuing certificates of a tractor driver, and so on. The government will also have to approve a list of malfunctions and conditions under which the use of such equipment is prohibited. The bill establishes the categories of self-propelled vehicles from A to F. It is assumed that the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation will become the basis for the creation of a state information system for accounting and registration of tractors, self-propelled vehicles and trailers for them.
