June 20, Bayer in a solemn atmosphere opened in Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) modernized IT-audience. The project was implemented within the BayStudy Program and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of OmSAU.
The welcoming speech was made by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Maxim Chekusov, the rector of the Omsk State Agrarian University Oksana Shumakova and the head of the cluster East Bayer JSC Andrei Mozylev, a graduate of OmSAU.
"We are interested in developing and promoting innovative technologies for the Russian agroindustry, and in the long term. Therefore, Bayer pays special attention to working with young specialists and students, who are future high-class specialists who will continue to develop Russian agriculture. Bayer is very interested in the fact that graduates of Russian universities receive agrarian education at a high level and seeks to contribute," Andrei Mozylev said in his welcome speech.
The opening of the IT audience in the university was the sixth in the BayStudy educational project of Bayer. Previously modernized IT audiences were opened in agrarian universities in Kuban, Voronezh, Cheboksary, Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk. According to Oksana Shumakova, rector of Omsk State Agrarian University, "opening an IT audience with the financial support of such a partner as an international Bayer Company is a significant event for the university not only from the point of view of modernizing the existing teaching and laboratory base, but also for the effective organization of the educational process. It is important that, thanks to the stable ties with partners representing the world business, our students and teachers have the opportunity to study at home and abroad, expanding academic mobility, getting the competencies necessary for modern production, and therefore being successful in a professional environment."
