June 21, a visit of the Omsk delegation led by the head of Omsk region Alexander Burkov to North-Kazakhstan region (Republic of Kazakhstan) was held. The delegation included heads of regional ministries, municipal districts and Omsk enterprises in the spheres of industry, agriculture and food, tourism and information technology. The delegation of Omsk region was hosted by Akim of North-Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov.
Negotiations were held with officials of North-Kazakhstan region, visits to enterprises, meetings with business community. During the event 11 memorandums on cooperation in various spheres were signed.
The president of Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry (member of Omsky Biocluster), Olga Fedulova and deputy director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of North-Kazakhstan region Marat Iskakov signed a memorandum on cooperation between the Chambers. Heads of enterprises of the Omsk CCI members - the president of the non-profit company IT Cluster Siberia Alexander Timofeechev and the director general of the Agency of Business Tourism and Events Motum Natalia Fedchenko also signed memorandums of cooperation with Kazakhstan partners.
Based on the results of the meetings, directions for further cooperation were identified: the expansion of geography and the increase in the volume of bilateral deliveries of agricultural and food products, the implementation of joint projects on farming and fodder production, the testing of new varieties of cereals and other crops, the establishment of cooperation between Omsk and Kazakh enterprises, engaged in the field of information technology, the expansion of tourist routes in the territories of the parties.
The next project within the development of cooperation between partner cities (Omsk and Petropavlovsk) is planned for July 11-12, 2018. Omsk CCI has already formed a delegation for a visit to Petropavlovsk.
