The total amount of funds allocated to support the Russian agribusiness in 2019 may reach 302B RUR ($ 4.58B), said Deputy Minister of Agriculture Elena Fastova.
The Russian authorities wanted to allocate 242.6B RUR ($ 3.68B) from the budget for the implementation of the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, but the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation considers this amount insufficient, an additional 59.7B RUR ($ 0.91B) are required. The position of the Ministry was supported by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Gordeyev.
The volume of state support will increase, this is agreed with the Ministry of Finance. Elena Fastova reported that the state support for the export of agricultural products at the level of 350B RUR ($ 5.31B) within six years will allow to reach the index of export of agricultural products designated by the president at a rate of $ 45B by 2024.
