Russia increased export of dairy products by 26%

The volume of exports of Russian dairy products in January-July 2020 exceeded the level of 2019 by 26%, to 483,000 tons in milk equivalent in the amount of $ 210.0 million (+ 14%).

 

The main external consumers of dairy products from the Russian Federation remain the CIS countries (≈91% of exports), including Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine. Non-CIS countries include Mongolia, Abkhazia, Georgia, the United States and China. Export of dairy products to China in January-July 2020 in physical mass increased relative to the level of the same period in 2019 by 21%, to 5100 tons in milk equivalent (≈1% in the export structure), the main product is ice cream. The valuation ($ 5.1 million) increased by 38%.
