Today, every eighth company exporting agricultural products is a client of the Russian Agricultural Bank (Omsk branch is member of Omsky Biocluster). By 2024, RusAg plans to increase its share in export services to 35%, that is, every third exporter of agricultural products will be its customer. For these purposes, the bank has formed a vertical support for export activities. This was reported by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Russian Agricultural Bank Irina Zhachkina at the Agrarian Forum of Russia.
RusAg considers exports to be a promising direction for the development of the domestic agro-industry, increasing its profitability and financial stability. Currently, RusAg has formed a product line for exporters, including programs for financing foreign trade transactions, conversion transactions, cash settlement services, documentary transactions, including letters of credit, hedging currency risks, and bank guarantees.
"RusAg is ready to go with farmers to international markets. According to our estimates, in addition to traditional cereals, the fat, confectionery, sugar and dairy industries have the greatest potential for increasing exports. So, in a few years confectionery should take the fourth place in the products export rating. Unexpectedly, however, experts predict that ice cream will also enter the top 10 export products. Russia has proposals for the world market, in addition to grain and sugar," said First Deputy Chairman of the Board of RusAg Irina Zhachkina.
