Milk: Sales grew 7.7%

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, as of May 18, 2020, the daily volume of milk sales in Russia amounted to 50,800 tons, which is 7.7% more than the same indicator in 2019 (+3,300 tons).

 

The maximum sales volumes were achieved in the Republic of Tatarstan, Krasnodar Territory, Voronezh, Kirov, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk, Leningrad, Belgorod, Moscow, and Nizhny Novgorod Regions, the Udmurt Republic, and Altai Territory.

 

The average milk yield per cow per day amounted to 18.38 kg, which is 1.32 kg more than a year earlier. The leaders among the regions for this indicator are the Leningrad, Kaliningrad, Lipetsk, Penza, Kaluga, Vologda, Kirov, Vladimir, Tula, Sverdlovsk, Ryazan, Voronezh, Belgorod, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Arkhangelsk and Tyumen regions, the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea, Mari El Republic, Karelia. The average milk yield per cow in these regions amounted to more than 20 kg of milk.
